Whale of a Tale (Japan 9)

April 5, 2014 (continued)
Email sent to family
• My bed, and the term is used very liberally here, is a box spring with a one inch pad.  My back is in constant spasms during the night.
• Cold front has come in and it is 50º and rainy with lows in the 30s.  Our room is a toasty upper-60s.  Can't be certain, but the butter is hard and children's feet and hands are cold.
• All children have sniffles and coughs, but no more fevers.
• We've taken trains, subways, buses, taxis, and walked, walked, walked.
• We saw a whale shark and it only took 7 trains and 3 hours to get there!  We found a better way to get back--4 trains and 2 hours.  Our kids are amazing.
• Rachel's favorite part of this trip is this hotel.  Oh, the irony!  Probably because the room is actually large enough to all be in it together.
• Eva's favorite part is watching a movie.  The catch is she hasn't watched any movies.  I let her watch the song "Frozen" on youtube last night.  It was an amazing motivator for getting her ready for bed fast.
• Everyone's favorites are the monkeys and petting the sharks and rays at the aquarium.
• I've stopped crying...possibly just from dehydration or exhaustion.  ;)
Only 5 more days before we're home.  My bed is calling me…..

I love this set.  Eva had her face against the Whale Shark exhibit and a huge Manta passed by and startled her.
